Although we would love to guarantee sunshine for everyone who visits, we’re afraid it isn’t possible. There are going to be the occasional rainy days throughout the year, however we don’t want this to dampen your mood so we’ve come up with some activities that would be perfect for a rainy day.
Seaton Jurassic:
An indoor Jurassic museum is perfect, everything you need is in one building. There are shops and a restaurant as well as picnic tables. This will be great for keeping the whole family entertained and out of the rain.

This glassworks museum offers a range of interactive activities for the family, with the bonus of free admission. It’s all indoors so will keep you dry from the rain and the restaurant and café will help keep the hunger at bay. The shop offers a range of fun and individual products that would be hard to come across anywhere else.

Flamingo Pool:
An indoor swimming pool in Axminister, including selected slots of fun sessions for children. Admission is under £5 each, it will keep you all having fun and allow you to let off some energy, all without getting soaked by the rain.

Cinema in Sidmouth:
A rainy day is the perfect excuse to watch that new film you’ve been thinking about, with all the popcorn and sweets you can eat. A Scott Cinema offers a range of new films at different times of day for you to pick from, and you’re in a beautiful seaside town with fudge and fossil shops if the weather clears long enough for you to browse.
